Deputy Director of Audience Engagement
• Oversee social media strategy for The Baltimore Sun (facebook.com/baltimoresun and @baltimoresun, among others)
• Coordinate with teams of people from around the company on content-based digital products and services
• Manage a talented group of community coordinators
• Elicit, curate and promote user-generated and crowd-sourced content
• Help craft and implement mobile strategies
• Organize community events and promotions, including social meetups and news forums
• Work on database and interactive presentations, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Google Maps APIs.

• Manage content for community, guides, health and some news channels
• Work with reporters, photographers and editors to create meaningful online storytelling

• Managed a staff of 20 executive editors and 60 volunteer reporters to produce a weekly 24 page newspaper
• Drafted and managed a $60,000 budget
• Lead expansion of Pendulum Web site, www.elon.edu/pendulum through the implementation of multimedia elements and daily updates
• Responsible for website redesign (learn more in my portfolio)
• Part of a team involved in the Print product redesign
• General reporting and editing
• Under leadership, The Pendulum became nationally recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press, the Hearst Journalism Awards Program and the Society of Professional Journalists. The paper also won its first Pacemaker award.
