I am the deputy director of audience engagement at The Baltimore Sun. I spend my day working in social media, pitching in on interactive web projects, crafting and implementing mobile strategies and planning community engagement events.
Journalism has been a part of me since I first started writing for my class newspaper in fifth grade. The thrill of sharing interesting and important stories with complete strangers has never quite worn off. At some point in middle school, my fascination with the internet began and I built my first website. (It was essentially a blog, just with more blink tags.) Though my site would eventually die off, my interest in online journalism had been fully formed.
I’m interested in exploring new and creative ways to deliver content to readers. Technology has opened many doors for the media industry, but getting through them can be a challenge.
When not working, I enjoy traveling, reading, athletic pursuits of many varieties, spending time with friends and family and eating delicious food. Take me to get some pho, Indian or Thai and you’ve already won me over.
Check out my resume.
